St. Joseph-Ogden - St. Joseph, IL -- St. Joseph Community Park

Covid-19 Guidelines for Spectators:
All spectators will need to check-in when they enter St. Joseph Community Park. There is only one entry
way into the park. At this entry way, SJO personnel will be stationed outside and will check-in all
spectators before they park. All schools will need to provide us a team roster, and next to each athlete,
schools will need to write out the spectators that will be here to watch each athlete. Spectators will be
asked to follow IDPH guidelines along with IHSA social distancing guidelines. There will be signs posted
around the course to remind everyone to practice social distancing, and to stay at least six feet away from
everyone at this meet. As of Friday, 8/28/20, the IHSA released the following guidelines for spectators at
outdoor events:
- Many questions continue to come to our office related to the requirement for spectators and
coaches to wear face coverings when outside and social distancing. Without going into great
detail, we now believe there is confirmation from ISBE and the DCEO document (All Sports
Policy) that spectators and coaches may remove their face coverings when outside and social
distancing (See page 8 of this document:
https://coronavirus.illinois.gov/sfc/servlet.shepherd/document/download/069t000000CyCndAAF
?operationContext=S1).

We are making this adjustment to our fall sport guidelines and hope to
create a better outdoor experience for all.
Also, we ask all spectators to stay away from the start line and finish line areas. Please share this
information with all of your athletes and spectators attending this meet.
